Community Update

Coming Soon: The NYG Connect App

We are excited to share a glimpse into a project we have been working on behind the scenes: NYG Connect.

Maintaining a consistent Nitya Sadhana can be a journey of many steps, and we wanted to create a tool to support you. With this app, you will be able to log your daily practice—whether it is Yoga, Araiki, Amasana Meditation, or Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama—and see your personal progress and commitment grow over time.

It is important to remember that this is not about competition. In the spiritual path, the only comparison that matters is with our own past selves. This tracker is simply a mirror for your own discipline (Tapas), helping you stay mindful of your journey without comparing your pace to anyone else’s.

We are currently in the final stages of development. Stay tuned for the official launch!

Wisdom from the Source

Many of us begin our journey with meditation to find a moment of peace in a loud world. But as we walk deeper into the teachings of Guruji, we realize that relaxation is only the beginning.

The following article is synthesized from recent discourses given by Guruji on the transformative power of Tapas.

Meditation and Tapas: Understanding the Difference

Meditation and Tapas are often spoken of together, but they are not the same. Meditation helps the mind relax, while Tapas brings a complete transformation of the person.

(No single English word fully captures Tapas—because it is a lived state, not a concept. Closest English approximations to “Thapas”

  • Transformative discipline
  • Inner austerity with awareness
  • Conscious self-purification)

When we meditate, we usually practise for a certain period of time and then return to our daily activities—our work, responsibilities, and household chores. The mind is still present and active. As we sit quietly, thoughts related to daily life naturally arise: memories, worries, plans, and emotions. Meditation calms the mind and gives relief from stress, but the mind continues to function.

Tapas is not limited to a specific time or posture. It arises when the mind no longer dominates our inner space. There are no streams of thoughts; there is only awareness and sensation.

Meditation gives relaxation, but Tapas transforms. Through Tapas, a deeper awakening happens. One gains awareness and wisdom that is not learned from books. New understandings arise from within. As this inner clarity grows, our way of seeing life changes. Our perspective changes, and with it, our sense of purpose.

One of the most profound shifts that occurs through Tapas is the disappearance of the fear of death. The soul begins to realise its true nature. There is a quiet understanding: “Who am I?” And with that comes a deep inner acceptance—I need to become what I am meant to be.

What remains is happiness, equality, and a sense of pure energy. Life is no longer driven by confusion or compulsion, but guided by a clear and complete purpose.

As Tapas deepens, the inner world itself changes. It is no longer the same as the outer, everyday world we are used to. It becomes another dimension altogether—an inner world filled with eternal happiness and peace. In this state, joy arises naturally through serving others. Personal desires slowly dissolve. There is nothing left to seek for oneself.

Through Intense Tapas, a person becomes free. One becomes a witness to life, unaffected by situations, emotions, or external disturbances. Nothing affects such a person deeply anymore. For this freedom, spirituality is essential. For this path, Nirvana Yoga becomes necessary.

When one reaches Nirvana, there is only truth. The mind dissolves, and what remains is pure consciousness. In that state, a simple yet powerful realisation dawns: we are here not for ourselves, but to serve others.

Now I would like to hear from you. What did you learn from this? I'll be waiting to read your messages.

Jai Madhav ji, I hope you are well, and I hope your daily Sadhana continues, even amidst the busyness of life. Recently, while reflecting on the path we walk together, I was reminded of a profound discourse by Guruji. He spoke about a trap many of us fall into: searching for the Divine in far-off places while ignoring the miracle that is sitting right within us. It is easy to look at a monument or a deity and feel awe, but it takes true awareness and effort to witness your own journey and...
