#05 - True Wisdom - They Learn From What We Do

Jai Madhav ji,

It has been a while since our last edition. Over the past few weeks, we have been full with Trideyam and our World Environment Day initiatives. As we approach International Yoga Day next week, it will be another busy week, but we will do our best to stay consistent.

Community Updates:

Trideyam

Observed every year on May 22nd, Trideyam is an auspicious day for our community. It marks the establishment of Thapovanam Siddhashram, and it is also the Andhya Samadhi day (the sacred moment the soul left the body) —of Guruji’s mother.

Throughout the day, seekers gathered for continuous, deep meditation. Powerful meditation practices were taught, including Amanasna Meditation, Pranava Meditation, Ohmkara Kriya Meditation, and Psychotherapy Mantra Meditation.

Wisdom from the Source

During Trideyam, Guruji spoke on meditation — its place in a life, and in a home. Guruji's words:

In this modern era, the practice of meditation by every individual in a household is vital for preserving family unity. It naturally increases patience, sharpens your focus, and serves as the true foundation for succeeding in life.
Each person must meditate by their own effort. Each person must recognize their own true self, and each person must strive to know themselves from within. No one else can do this work for you.
Do not waste your precious time watching TV series for hours, or mindlessly scrolling through social media. Even the daily news is dramatized just for ratings and viewership. Of course, you need to know what is going on around the world—but do not let it consume you. Do not waste your time.
A new generation is growing up right now, born with special and unique ways of thinking. To guide them, the elders must first lead by example. If we don’t step up with timely guidance, they won’t acquire the vital skills to meditate, protect their health, or tell friend from foe. They learn from what we do, not just what we say.
The Adishunyabalashakthi Kshetram is a temple without doors or idols, where you learn to know yourself. It is always open to you, inviting you to sit and meditate.

The "One Soul – One Tree" Movement

Under the guidance of His Holiness Bodhisatvan Madhavacharyan, the Thapovanam Grow Green Initiative (TGGI) began a mission twenty years ago to restore humanity’s relationship with the Earth. What started as a local effort has now become a global movement, with thousands of saplings planted over the last two decades.

This World Environment Day, TGGI invited our global family to join the "One Soul – One Tree" movement. The invitation was simple: plant a tree, take a photo, and commit to nurturing it for one full year.

The response was overwhelming. Hundreds of people stepped forward, sharing photos of them planting trees in their backyards, companies and other places.

If you haven't yet, you can still plant a tree today and share your photo with us. This is not a one-day campaign. And it is also not just about digging a hole and planting a sapling; it is about taking long-term care of it.

If you share another photo during the next Environment Day, standing beside that same growing tree, TGGI will officially certify you as a Green Guardian of the Earth.

Guruji teaches us: “God Dwells in Selfless Service.”

True to these words, our dedicated TGGI volunteers didn't just plant new trees in Ashram and nearby schools this week; they also went back to the nearby hospital to clean and tend to the surroundings of the very trees we planted there four years ago.

Looking Forward

Please continue your Sadhana regularly. Let us prepare our minds and bodies for the upcoming International Yoga Day.
